Photos: Huey Lewis & The News bring heart and soul to The M Resort

Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who used to live here, was the surprise guest to introduce Huey Lewis & The News in concert at The M Resort over the Memorial Day weekend, and our contributing photographer Tom Donoghue was on duty to capture the “Heart and Soul” of the San Francisco-based band.

The rock, pop and blue-eyed soul group has scored 19 Top 10 singles on Billboard’s Hot 100 and had an unstoppable run of hits during the 1980s and ’90s that included “The Power of Love,” “The Heart of Rock & Roll,” “I Want a New Drug,” “If This Is It,” “Jacob’s Ladder” and “Hip to Be Square.”

Everybody was “Workin’ for a Livin’ ” at The M for the night of musical magic.
