Photos: Riley Steele is tapped to host 2011 AVN Awards on Showtime

Fourteen of the adult world’s sexiest erotic actresses waited anxiously last night to hear which one would be chosen as the first co-host of the 2011 AVN Awards. The tantalizing temptresses were in their body-hugging mini-skirts slashed thigh high and high heels at Iron Chef winner Kerry Simon’s Simon in Palms Place.

AVN head honcho Paul Fishbein named 23-year-old porn princess Riley Steele as the first co-host for the Showtime special Jan. 8 from the Palms. The blonde (s)tartlet is known for her voluptuous vixen roles in Piranha 3D and 19 other XXX flicks in the past two years, including Bad Girls, Fly Girls, Teachers, Nurses and Pirates Revenge.

Paul told me that this is the first time the trade group has ever thrown a kick-off event so far in advance.

“Our business is all going and growing mainstream. It’s more and more accepted today than ever before. This year’s awards will be on Showtime, and we’ve already landed sponsors for it,” he said.

Before summer’s end, he’ll name Riley’s co-host -- a brunette -- and then early fall will announce the comedians who will complete the lineup for “The Oscars of Porn.” The 2011 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo is Jan. 6-9 at The Sands Expo in The Venetian as an adjunct to the giant Consumer Electronics Show.

George Maloof’s Palms is the official home of the AVN Awards, and the AVN girls have returned to party and kick off the 2011 awards. They host Ditch Friday today and judge a hot body bikini contest.

The audacious AVN girls include Riley, Kayden Kross, Raven Alexis, Joanna Angel, Misty Stone, Cagney Linn Karter, Sara Sloane, Kirsten Price, Belladonna, Jenna Haze, Tori Black, Bobbi Starr and Vivid’s contract player the stunning Savanna Samson. Kayden, Kirsten, Belladonna and Jenna were hosts for the two previous AVN Awards and last night were the first to congratulate Riley.

Riley told the group: “I am really honored to be picked. I’m already thinking of what to wear. But I won’t let anybody down. We’ll make it a sexy and stunning show in every way.”

Paul added: “She’s a natural. She’s beautiful, very hot and not only cute as can be but also very funny. She’s the blonde, and we’ll partner her later on with a brunette and then the comedians.”

The pulchritude-packing porn pinups also will appear at high-roller lounge The Mint, Rain and Moon during their weekend visit.
