In what is supposed to be a joyful 20th anniversary weekend for the Burlesque Hall of Fame, legendary performer Tempest Storm fell and broke her hip last night in a closing number at the Plaza, as Senior Editor John Katsilometes reported in his The Kats Report on LasVegasSun.com.
The 82-year-old redhead is listed in good condition and scheduled to undergo surgery today. The weekend continues today with a free burlesque bazaar open to the public on the third floor of the Plaza and The World’s Best Burlesque Show at 8. The weekend wraps up tomorrow with a Q&A, pool party and closing gala.

Along with the Burlesque Hall of Fame weekend, AVN porn princesses at the Palms and the 3rd Annual Las Vegas International Film Festival at the Las Vegas Hilton are attracting crowds this hot, hot, hot weekend in Las Vegas.
Check back to Vegas DeLuxe this weekend and on Monday for our coverage of the events. Meantime, stay cool in the 100-degree-plus temperatures!
