Rocker Vince Neil is very excited about his summer plans, and it kicks off tomorrow night when he opens his Tres Rios cantina and tequila bar in the Las Vegas Hilton. Talk about partying with a rock star! The festivities kick off with an unusual format so that I can get Vince to spill some secrets.
Many of you know that Vince is a neighbor of mine here in Las Vegas, so, yes, we’ll talk about tequila. Yes, we’ll talk about Tattoos and Tequila, his first solo album in 15 years that’s also the title of the leadoff single. Yes, I might even persuade him during the round-table grilling to sing a little Viva Las Vegas, one of the album tracks. The CD with two originals and 10 covers drops June 22.
But what I’m more interested in is revelations from his new book Tattoos & Tequila that will be published this summer. I’m going to ask him if he started out to become a surfer before turning to rock and roll, and if it is true that once when he surfed in Australia 10 years ago, he almost killed himself on the dangerous waves. Plus a whole lot more!
The first hour of the event is VIP and is being filmed for online broadcast. Before that, Vince will hold a private meet-and-greet with winners of a radio station contest. Once we’ve dispensed with a few shots of Tres Rios tequila during the video interviews, the doors will be flung open to fans and drinkers.
It will be time to party like a rock star!
