Wicked whispers and racy rumors! Expect extraordinary headline news in about two months of a major change in our nightlife world. One of the most prominent figures will shock with plans for his very own club that I’m reliably told will be the most extraordinary, big money venture ever undertaken in Las Vegas that will put his operations already here in a lesser light. When it’s signed, sealed and delivered, it will be the biggest nightlife deal ever here.

*I used Twitter on Saturday to advise of the two nights of drug testing at the Hard Rock Hotel by its new president of less than a month. Nightclub and pool staff from executives down to bus boys went to Carey Hart’s Wasted Space for a staff meeting only to discover the mandatory drug testing. Even employees who underwent testing just weeks ago for the start of Rehab were tested again. It’s certain to spark much debate and controversy about the wild success of the clubs and Rehab there.

Complaints surfaced yesterday about uncleaned scissors being used for hair samples from one employee to another, ungloved testing workers, unsterile and contaminated bagged samples and a large number of people changing hair color overnight from brunette to bleached blonde and vice versa. Staffers whispered that it’s all “a disguised effort” to single out certain employees.

*Fantasy star Angelica Bridges filmed an episode of Tru TV’s Rehab yesterday, so it’s business as usual!

*It’s true that Luxor comedy headliner Carrot Top was hospitalized last night, but fears and worries about his health were escalating through this morning. The rumors became so bad that Carrot Top had a statement issued saying, “It’s nonsense.” He’s fine and resting at home. It was food poisoning and the resulting dehydration that made him drive himself to a hospital. Fluids were put into his system for a few hours, and then he was released. “All is well,” he said. He canceled tonight’s show, will be dark on his normal night off tomorrow and should be ready for Wednesday’s show.

*Brokers are whispering that one major headliner on the Strip will be moving out much earlier than expected because tickets aren’t selling in the incredible numbers originally anticipated.

*There’s still no official green light for the hoped-for The Real Housewives of Las Vegas being mulled over by Bravo executives.

*Rumors have resurfaced that Oscar-winning actor Joe Pesci is planning on opening a restaurant here.
