Thermometers in Las Vegas were super hot over the weekend, and so were music venues, from the Hard Rock Hotel pool and Encore Beach Club at Encore to The Cannery.
SLIGHTLY STOOPID
San Diego-based Slightly Stoopid, Ocean Beach to be specific, performed during the Friday Night Live concert series at the Hard Rock Hotel’s HRH Beach Club, and it was another awesome FNL show. The band, self-described as a fusion of acoustic rock and blues with reggae, hip-hop and punk, has released eight albums (two live), their last, Slightly Not Stoned Enough to Eat Breakfast Yet Stoopid, released last year. Thanks to contributing photographer Erik Kabik for his photos.
SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA
Swedish House Mafia -- DJs Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso -- spun at Wet Republic at MGM Grand on Saturday. Clad in designer T-shirts, the trio arrived to an ovation from thousands of fans and beelined it to the DJ booth. The boys unloaded their arsenal of music, including new single “One” featuring vocals by Pharrell. Thanks to photographer Denise Truscello for her photos.
PUDDLE OF MUDD
Platinum-selling Puddle of Mudd performed an explosive poolside set Saturday at the Hard Rock Hotel, singing hit after hit, including “Blurry” and “She Hates Me,” to a packed beach club of fans around the stage and in cabanas above the stage. The band was well prepared for an outdoor pool show and even had Puddle of Mudd beach balls for fans. Thanks again to Erik for his photos.

TRAVIE McCOY
Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy took to the stage at Encore Beach Club in Encore to perform his hit “Billionaire” off his first solo record. Katy Perry’s ex was all smiles as he walked from his cabana to the stage chatting with fans. While singing “Billionaire,” Travie jumped off the stage and continued to sing in the pool area. Back in his cabana, Travie enjoyed champagne until leaving for his appearance at Blush in the Wynn.

THE SPINNERS
Motown legends The Spinners stayed indoors for their concert at the Cannery on Saturday night and serenaded the audience with their sweet soul and R&B sound that has made them popular for decades. Thanks to Glenn Pinkerton of Las Vegas New Bureau for his photos.
