Revamped Peepshow resumes tonight, and Holly Madison is ready

Holly Madison’s striptease spectacular returns to the Strip tonight. After a two-month, mid-winter hiatus, Peepshow has curtain up once again at Planet Hollywood. Holly and the cast had two weeks of intense rehearsals that continued over the weekend and this morning for the revamped revue.
There are new dance routines in place of trimmed and cut segments. There are new cast members, including the full-time debut of Wayne Brady’s former backup beauty Cheaza as the Peep Diva, and new sets and lighting for the 2010 run. It was just after New Year’s that the frisky, flashy, stylized show went on a six-week vacation break.
“I couldn’t be happier that we’re all back on a normal six-day-a-week schedule,” the platinum blonde Playboy centerfold told me about her role as Bo Peep over the weekend. “We’ve all really missed doing the show, and now it’s even bigger and better than before.
“Rehearsals have been really tough on us -- much of it has been technical with the new lighting and sets. I’m really tired but exhilarated and excited at the same time. Everybody is going to love the new additions and the changes.”
Holly said she used her six weeks to plan eight episodes of her new E! reality TV series Holly’s World that starts shooting in the last week of this month for a Memorial Day weekend premiere. I’ve accepted Holly’s invitation to pop up every week in a celebrity spot as cameras track her adventures in Sin City.
During the break, the reality TV starlet who became a Strip showgirl sensation also added chapters each week to the book she’s writing for singles visiting her new hometown. “It’s still on target for an end-of-summer release. I fell behind during the hiatus because I went to and from Los Angeles and down to Mexico to shoot my 2011 calendar. Now I’m back in Peepshow every night and on a regular schedule, so I’ll get caught up with the book and meet the August deadline.”

The former The Girls Next Door platinum princess (five years on E!) attended the Keep Memory Alive gala at the Bellagio on Saturday with me. She modeled some of the auction items that we presented to the well-heeled crowd. Holly sat at my table with Siegfried & Roy, and we both promised the illusionists that we would each contribute our favorite recipes for a cookbook they’re planning. It will be sold with all monies being donated to their Las Vegas Police Department K-9 animal programs. My pal Ron Dante, who produced Barry Manilow’s hit records through 1981, was there, too, and began talks with Holly about recording her for a new CD project he wants to create for the blonde beauty.
Holly also proudly told us that she has purchased her dream Barbie home here in the past month and that she’ll slowly buy furnishings and move in over the next few months but continue living at Planet Hollywood until the full move-in.
“I’m loving Las Vegas,” she told me. “I’ve got great friends here. There’s always something new and exciting to go to. There’s new, fun restaurants and shopping, and every time we all do something, I keep all the notes to incorporate in the new book.
“But Peepshow is my focus tonight. It’s really a great show, and we’re all enjoying it. We’re all charged up 100 percent and can’t wait to show off all the new features to our supportive audiences. It’s going to be sensational and twice as sexy.”
We’ll have a photo report of return-night festivities right here at VDLX tomorrow.
