Strip Scribbles: Angelica Bridges shoots long-awaited Playboy pictorial
By Robin Leach

When sexy singer Angelica Bridges signed on as the headline star to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Fantasy at the Luxor, the first promotional plan was a Playboy pictorial. But less than a day after she joined the cast last October, she had to drop out because of a child custody battle with her ex-husband Edmonton Oilers defenseman Sheldon Souray.
Fortunately, it was all resolved, and the Playboy plans are on schedule again. In fact, the photo shoot took place yesterday in one of the Luxor’s suites. When Angelica is featured this summer, it will be her third appearance in Hugh Hefner’s magazine. The former Baywatch redhead who also has graced the covers of GQ and Esquire, was recently named one of the 50 Sexiest Women in the World by Maxim.
2010 Miss America Caressa Cameron in Hawaii.
*When the Miss America Pageant was held annually in Atlantic City, it was tradition for the newly crowned winner to dip her toes in the Atlantic Ocean to make her splash. Since the pageant moved here to Las Vegas, that’s been a photo op that simply can’t happen. Well, newly crowned Caressa Cameron solved that on her visit yesterday to Hawaii and dipped her toes in the Pacific. Caressa hit the beach in Maui, and while many in the country were digging out from snowstorms, the 2010 Miss America from Virginia was in sunny Hawaii on her first official visit with cosmetic and skincare provider Artistry by Amway Global as part of the company’s annual meeting on the big island. “It has been an incredible first month,” Caressa emailed me this morning with our photo. “The trip to Hawaii was absolutely wonderful. I can’t wait to see what the months ahead will bring. This has all been a dream come true.”

*Master magician Lance Burton hosts Las Vegas’ official Oscar Night party this Sunday at The M Resort’s Milan Ballroom to benefit Variety Children’s Charity of Southern Nevada. It’s the only officially sanctioned Oscar Night America party in Las Vegas by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Science. General admission is $35, VIP tickets are $200, and VIP tables are $2,000, which includes food and cocktails, along with a walk down the red carpet and authentic Academy Awards programs. Seating and tables are still available by calling Denna or Kay at (702) 383-8466 or emailing admin@varietysn.org. The red carpet in Hollywood rolls out at 4 p.m., with Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin live on ABC.
Lance’s pals Michael Goudeau, the opening act juggler at his Monte Carlo showroom, and fellow Kentucky-born magician Mac King from Harrah’s also will take part. All proceeds raised during the party provide resources that improve the quality of life for children living with disabilities and special needs.
*Superstar singer Sting is embarking on a world tour this summer with nothing less than the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra as his band. Steven Mercurio, who has conducted for Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli, will conduct the orchestra for Sting’s tour, which stops at MGM Grand Garden Arena on June 18. Tickets go on sale Monday morning. Sting plans to perform his most celebrated songs reimagined for symphonic arrangement.
