Three weeks ago, it was Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino from reality TV’s big new hit Jersey Shore at the grand opening of Sugar Factory in Planet Hollywood. Last weekend, it was a birthday blast at the Palms for Jenni “JWoww” Farley.
This weekend, it was Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi “The Sweetheart” Giancola from the MTV sensation, which was recently renewed for a second season of 12 episodes. Filming starts in May and will be shot this time in and around South Beach in Florida.
It seems as if our Las Vegas hotspots and the Jersey Shore cast have found each other in a perfect union. DJ “Pauly D” Delvecchio was recently signed to a DJ residency at the Palms, and I’m told that we should expect return visits and more appearances from the cast as we settle into spring and prepare to sizzle this summer when Season 2 begins airing.
Contributing photographer Scott Harrison was on red carpet duty at Jet in The Mirage, and Denise Truscello also was inside The Mirage hotspot early this morning to capture the couple with champagne wishes for the crowd.

Jersey Shore has been embroiled in controversy from the start with advertisers yanking commercials after Italian-American organizations and residents complained about the depiction of Italians on the series, but all the complaints have just given the show additional publicity and propelled it to bigger ratings.
