Former NBC late-night talk-show host Conan O’Brien will headline a comedy and music revue that begins a two-month, 30-city tour April 12 and includes a stop at The Pearl in the Palms on May 1. The aptly titled Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour kicks off in Eugene, Ore., and will take Conan and a cast that includes longtime sidekick Andy Richter and the former Tonight Show band to venues in at least 20 states and two Canadian provinces.
“It was either a massive 30-city tour or start helping out around the house,” Conan quipped. One stop will be in New York opposite his original NBC theater and another stop will be in L.A. near where Jay Leno has returned to take the desk and chair Conan was forced to give up.
311.
*It’s difficult to believe, but the folks at Mandalay Bay swear it’s true that 311 will play some 50 songs during its marathon five-hour concert tonight, marking today’s date of 3/11. It’s the band’s day in more ways than one. All 12,000 tickets have been sold to fans throughout America and from 10 overseas countries. It’s the sixth time the hip-hop and reggae rockers have presented the long-lasting, biennial concert. The five guys took their name from the penal code for indecent exposure in their hometown of Omaha, Neb.
The Opportunitini at Pete's Dueling Piano Bar.
*Here’s a real Opportunitini to raise funds for our beloved Opportunity Village. From now through April 1, 100 percent of the proceeds from sales of the Opportunitini at Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar in Town Square will go to the charity. The $12 cocktail is a swirl of coconut rum, melon liqueur, banana liqueur and pineapple juice served in a martini glass. Additionally, Pete’s is giving away a seat in Opportunity Village’s Celebrity Poker Tournament. One winner will be randomly selected for free entry into the 5th Annual Celebrity Poker Tournament at Caesars Palace Poker Room on April 10.
*The 2010 Hope Gala for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is May 7 at Mandalay Bay with entertainment featuring the gala’s emcee Clint Holmes. The evening will honor Renee West, president and COO of Mandalay Bay.

STAR SURVEILLANCE
Actress Keshia Knight Pulliam and boyfriend Kaseem Penn watched last night’s early show of Criss Angel’s Cirque du Soleil show Believe at the Luxor. Keshia’s in town celebrating her recent NAACP Image Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series” (Tyler Perry’s House of Payne) and Kaseem’s 31st birthday. Criss gave the former Rudy Huxtable a shout-out, which prompted loud applause, and the couple posed for a photo with Criss after the show. … Justin Timberlake dined at Union in MGM CityCenter’s Aria with a group of 20 friends and business associates promoting his 901 Tequila. Then he hit Tao in The Venetian and Lavo in the Palazzo. At Tao, he did shots with gorgeous and leggy Tala McDonough, who is one of Matt Goss’s Dirty Virgins dancers at Caesars Palace. 901 was the sponsor of the wrap party for the Nightclub & Bar Convention, with a DJ spinoff between Kid Capri and Crystal Method that prompted Justin to show off his dance moves. Meantime, loyal VDLX reader Richard Corey videotaped Dan Aykroyd's keynote address. Also at Tao was Jersey Shore star DJ Pauly D, who dined under the giant Buddha before hitting the club at a dance floor table. Venus and Serena Williams dined at Tao and then partied at Tao, enjoying Veuve Clicquot champagne. Asher Roth dined at Lavo and then went upstairs to the nightclub, where DJ Wreckineyez spun for the crowd.
