Hotels, restaurants and showrooms here this past weekend all reported big upticks in reservations and partying customers, making it the best $$$ weekend of the year to date, even exceeding Super Bowl XLIV weekend in many instances. With March Madness hoop-la getting underway, I hope we’ve seen the worst of the financial decimation and now can start moving upward again.
The stars poured in from Hollywood to add their glamour to the bottom-line excitement. Elsewhere on Vegas DeLuxe, you’ll find the starry turnouts for Terry Fator and Matt Goss’s weekend shows. Our team of contributing photographers was kept busy ’round the clock with an entire series of partying with the platinum people, and I hope we got them all and didn’t leave out anyone.
TRAVIS BARKER, DJ A-TRAK @PURE
The weekend started out at Pure in Caesars Palace, as Travis Barker and DJ A-Trak kicked off their new tour with a performance. The club’s VIP area was cleared out to become a raised stage to showcase A-Trak as he took to the turntables with Blink-182’s Travis on drums for the amazing mash-ups.

The duo performed for an hour and played crowd favorites such as “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z featuring Alicia Keys and “Stronger” by Kanye West. Travis threw a number of drumsticks to fans in the crowd during the set. DJ Casanova gave a shout-out to Travis’ former partner, the late DJ AM, which won cheers from the revelers. Thanks to Ron Koch from Pure for these photos.
DJ PAULY D @THE PALMS
Jersey Shore reality TV star and New Jersey’s favorite disc jockey Pauly D, birth name Paul Delvecchio, received the royal treatment as he hit multiple nightclubs and restaurants in George Maloof’s Palms to begin his new DJ residency. First he sat at N9NE Steakhouse’s bar for a quick snack of a 12-ounce filet and mashed potatoes.
It was just the warm-up for his dinner at Nove Italiano with five friends. George stopped by for the official property welcome, and then the group feasted on signature dishes from executive chef Geno Bernardo, including sausage pizza, calamari, burrata, Bolognese and veal Nove. Pauly D went back into the kitchen to sign Geno’s celebrity kitchen door and took photos with Geno and N9Ne Steakhouse executive chef Barry Dakake.

Up in The Playboy Club, Pauly D was presented with a key and then headed to Ghostbar, where he spun beats on the turntables. He relaxed at a VIP table, but at 2:30 a.m. was on the move again to Rain to dance to the music of DJ Jazzy Jeff. Celebrities who listened to Pauly’s set included NFL free agent Adam Archuleta with five friends and Holly Madison. Thanks to Joe Fury from N9NE Group for these photos.
The night wasn’t over for Pauly, as he wound up at Drai’s After Hours and spent the pre-dawn hours listening to house music in the library with his pals. VDLX reader and videographer Richard Corey recorded some of the stops.

GAVIN ROSSDALE @THE BANK
Gavin Rossdale hosted at The Bank Nightclub in the Bellagio early this morning and treated partygoers to a performance that had everybody forgetting about sleep. His red carpet entrance began at 1 a.m., and Gavin had the crowd spellbound when he performed with Chris Traynor well into the early hours. There was no sign of Gavin’s wife Gwen Stefani, and despite the busy weekend, late nights and early mornings, Denise Truscello was still shooting away for this collection of photos.
Audrina Patridge at Vanity in the Hard Rock Hotel on March 13, 2010.
VANITY IN THE HARD ROCK HOTEL
It was a star-filled party at Vanity in the new HRH Tower of the Hard Rock Hotel when The Hills reality TV star Audrina Patridge arrived with new boyfriend and cast mate singer Ryan Cabrera. It was a 1 a.m. arrival yesterday, and the loving couple asked fans to take photos of them while they were kissing and cuddling! They crouched low in their booth nearly hidden from sight as they talked and smooched through the pre-dawn hours, but as the party progressed, they danced with their friends, allowing contributing photographer Cody Boor these shots.

Audrina and Ryan left the club after another hour holding hands and went into the night courtesy of a Hard Rock Hotel SUV. Audrina returned later last night for the show at Carey Hart’s Wasted Space. Mindfreak magician Criss Angel arrived solo and palled up with Carrot Top until Carrot Top’s date, an unidentified blonde, arrived, and the couple left. Criss then mingled with the group remaining at Carrot Top’s table, and the Believe illusionist eventually wound up in a private High Limit Room.

SOULJA BOY TELL ’EM @EVE

The rapper performed a four-song set onstage, including “Kiss Me Thru the Phone,” “Turn My Swag On” and “All the Way Turnt Up” while his posse watched and danced.
