Sex symbol and adult film star Sunset Thomas will host the inaugural Tasteful Party Bus Tour debuting late April. “The trip originates in Los Angeles,” beamed the porn princess. “That’s where partygoers start this racy road trip. Once the bus reaches Las Vegas, I get onboard, and, baby, that’s when things really heat up!”
Passengers party on I-15 aboard the 50-seat luxury bus fitted with plasma TVs, two dance poles, a full service bar and a private room. Five hot hostesses warm up the wayfarers for the ride out, assuring a sexy start for Sunset’s appearance once the bus reaches here.

“I promise to put the sin in Sin City -- the strip in the famed Strip,” Sunset cooed. “Las Vegas is my town, and this party package will be a first-class carnal adventure for all involved!”
Criss Angel with Eddie Van Halen.
*WWE executives and Portland, Ore., arena officials nixed the magic trick Criss Angel was to perform in the ring at Raw a week ago because they said it was too dangerous to perform on live TV. Said Criss: “It would have been awesome, but it got canceled for my safety. I will add it to the new changes, though, in my Believe shows at the Luxor and also include it in Mindfreak Season 6.” He performed four less death-defying tricks on the top-rated two-hour special.
A senior Luxor official told me: “Criss and the revised show are getting great and strong audience response. The numbers are getting back to where we were before the economic downdraft. We have just a little more to add to his show, and then we’ll be ready to unveil it all next month.”
Frank Caliendo and the Chicago Cubs.
*Monte Carlo headliner impressionist Frank Caliendo was invited to throw out the first ball for the Chicago Cubs vs. Chicago White Sox spring training game here at our Cashman Field, but it took him six attempts to get the pitch right! We have a photo gallery tomorrow with Frank in the dugout.
* Congrats to legendary musician Carlos Santana, who’ll receive the 2010 Mayor’s Art Award on Thursday from San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and the Arts Commission. Carlos returns to The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel April 21-May 2 for his continuing Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits.
*Ticket demand was so overwhelming that Conan O’Brien has added a second Las Vegas show to his two-month, 30-city tour. In addition to the May 1 show at The Pearl in the Palms, a second show is now set for May 2. The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour kicks off April 12 in Eugene, Ore., and Conan promises music, comedy, hugging and awkward silence.
Mayor Oscar Goodman, center, and the cast of Pawn Stars.
*Following our VDLX story on Pawn Stars last week, Mayor Oscar Goodman stopped by their downtown Gold & Silver Pawn Shop and presented them a key to the city. The Pawn Stars reciprocated by giving Oscar a set of collectible American coins. They’ve grown to 1,000 visitors a day, up from just 70 before the success of their History Channel reality TV show. Filming for Season 3 begins this month.
STAR SURVEILLANCE
Peepshow headliner Holly Madison was at Golden Nugget with her blondtourage doing research on downtown venues and attractions for her book on Las Vegas single-girl haunts coming out this summer. … America’s Best Dance Crew judge J.C. Chasez of ’N Sync fame dined at Lavo in the Palazzo with friends, including Shawn Pyfrom from Desperate Housewives. Afterward, the group headed to Tao in the adjoining Venetian to hear superstar DJ Erick Morillo spin until past 7 a.m. with the crowds there still dancing. Gossip Girl heartthrob Chace Crawford dined at Tao with friends and afterward headed to a VIP table at Lavo to dance to the sounds of DJ Obi One. Also spotted at Lavo was Kevin Alejandro of True Blood and Southland enjoying Don Julio and pineapple at a VIP stage table.
*Retired football pro Jerome “The Bus” Bettis celebrated a belated 38th birthday at Tao and was joined by former Pittsburgh Steelers teammates Kordell Stewart and Hines Ward. The entourage took over the private dining room and after dinner headed up to a VIP table, where MMA stars Gray Maynard, Ray Sefo and Jay Hieron waited to help The Bus celebrate as a Steelers-themed, bus-shaped cake was presented to Jerome. The three Steelers palled up again the next night in a party of eight at dinner at N9NE Steakhouse in the Palms. St. Louis Rams running back and Las Vegas native Steven Jackson also dined at N9NE and afterward headed to The Playboy Club.
*On his second night here, Chace visited one of his other favorite Las Vegas restaurants -- First Food & Bar in the Palazzo -- and brought along J.C. and Shawn. When Chace visited Las Vegas last year, First was a daily stop. Chef Sam DeMarco continued his tradition as the “chef’s chef” when superstar chef Charlie Trotter stopped in with new bride Rochelle at First. Charlie received a sneak peek of the enormous Debranski Burger (almost one-foot in diameter!), the newest addition to the Size Matters menu launching this month.
*Party people at Victor Drai’s nightclubs included Chicago Cubs teammates Ryan Dempster, Kevin Millar and Xavier Nady, on a break from Spring Training, at XS in Steve Wynn’s Encore, while singer Montell Jordan delivered a surprise performance at neighboring Tryst in the Wynn. He sang several songs, including his hit “This Is How We Do It,” as partygoers sang along and took photos at his VIP dance floor table. Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Robert Kardashian Jr. took a table in the VIP room at Drai’s After Hours.

In Greek mythology, Aphrodite is the goddess of beauty and love, and she’s often depicted nude with voluptuous curves and come-hither eyes. It makes sense, then, that she gets a ...
