Wynn sports book posts American Idol Season 9 odds

It was a war of words that had never been seen before on American Idol until last night between host Ryan Seacrest and judge Simon Cowell. They literally got in each other’s faces sparring over contestant Michael Lynche, who had wowed them all a week earlier.

Last night, however, sarcastic Simon criticized the workout trainer unkindly, saying: “I thought the performance, particularly your dancing, was kind of corny. It was verging at times on a tiny bit desperate.” A hot-under-the-collar Ryan didn’t care for that one bit and rushed over to the judges’ table to confront Simon, asking that he clarify what he meant by desperate moves.

Simon fired back, telling Ryan to get back onstage and adding that he’d talk to the contestant and not the host. The two men ended their fuselage of verbal tussles by telling viewers that they’d sort it out in the trailer after the show!

It’s too early for Michael’s performance on YouTube, and I’m told that Fox won’t be posting the stare down between Ryan and Simon. However, here’s the YouTube video of Michael’s audition.

Meantime, the battle continues between the two front-runners Siobhan Magnus and Crystal Bowersox. It’s neck-and-neck, but Simon last night gave the edge to Siobhan. Here’s the YouTube video of her singing "Think" by Aretha Franklin.

Meantime, Johnny Avello, director of the Race & Sports Book at the Wynn, released his first round of odds for American Idol Season 9: Crystal Bowersox, 7 to 2; Siobhan Magnus, 4 to 1; Michael Lynche, 7 to 1; Lee Dewyze, 9 to 1; Katie Stevens, 10 to 1; Didi Benami, 12 to 1; Casey James, 15 to 1; Andrew Garcia, 18 to 1; Tim Urban, 25 to 1; Lacey Brown, 28 to 1; Aaron Kelly, 40 to 1; and Paige Miles, 60 to 1.

Please remember the odds are for entertainment purposes only and not for gaming.
