Photos: Nicky Hilton hosts birthday bash for boyfriend David Katzenberg

The rumors were rapid fire from Hollywood to New York: Socialite, entrepreneur and pop culture personality Nicky Hilton was finally getting engaged in Las Vegas at the birthday party she was throwing for longtime boyfriend Hollywood agent David Katzenberg. After all the rumors, the rumblings and the Internet buzz, it simply didn’t happen!

In fact, their celebration at Vanity in the Hard Rock Hotel was a low-key event, and they stayed under the radar most of the weekend, too. The first-night stop for fashion designer Nicky upon arrival was at Sugar Factory in Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile on the Strip. She loaded up on thousands of dollars of custom Sugar Factory gift baskets for David and posed for contributing photographers Erik Kabik and Scott Harrison.

The loving couple checked into the incredible Infinity suite in the new HRH Tower at the Hard Rock. (We posted a tour of the sexy suite, along with all the other outrageous penthouse palaces, here at Vegas DeLuxe last Thursday). They also checked out Vanity in the new HRH Tower in advance of the birthday bash drinking cocktails quietly in co-owner Jason Giambi’s VIP corner booth.

The next night, hair guru to the stars Michael Boychuck and two of his Caesars Palace Color salon experts handled hair and makeup duties for Nicky. Then she, David and their group ate dinner at Rare 120 before arriving at Vanity for the second consecutive night. She walked down the red carpet solo and urged David and his twin sister Laura to join her for the final section.

After birthday cake and champagne, Nicky and David hit the floor in front of the DJ booth and danced for the frenzied revelers, who all wished him a Happy Birthday. Our contributing photographers Erik and Scott were on duty again for our stunning photo gallery.

Also spotted at Vanity over the weekend were Reno 911’s Cedric Yarbrough, who also was celebrating his birthday, plus separately Rozlyn Papa of The Bachelor and Brandon Marshall of the Denver Broncos.
