It was a thunderous throwback to the glorious golden days of Strip entertainment when headliners invaded one another’s showrooms for impromptu jam sessions among singers and musicians and when comedy kings attempted to out joke one another.

The stars loved it, the crowds loved it, and the casinos loved it! It was always an electrical explosion of talent, and for some reason, it brought the best out of them. They sang, played and laughed better.

The clock turned back to those days last night when comics George Wallace and Chris Tucker stood toe to toe in George’s Flamingo showroom, with the men outdoing each other and simultaneously cracking up each other and the super-delighted crowd. This truly defined superstar talent and entertainment.

Chris Tucker Performs With George Wallace

George and Chris brought more than four decades of brilliant comedy, jokes, sketches and routines onstage, and the nonstop laughter continued from start to finish -- and then some. It was a one-night-only guest gig for Chris, who performed his standup and then joined George in a comedy duo.

For more than 20 years, Chris has performed standup and starred in films including Friday, The Fifth Element and the Rush Hour mega hits. George is now in his sixth year as a Flamingo headliner and is dubbed “The New Mr. Las Vegas” with his “I be thinking” and “My mama said” comedy bursts!

We thank our contributing photographers Erik Kabik and Scott Harrison, who captured a series of photos for our Vegas DeLuxe gallery. Everybody agreed that George and Chris should reteam again because they and the audience had so much fun. Martin & Lewis might be unknown to today's generation, but Wallace & Tucker can continue that legacy.
