Superstar singer Celine Dion, who returns to The Colosseum in Caesars Palace next March, celebrates her birthday today, and to commemorate the day, Caesars Palace has announced three VIP packages for her spectacular.
The Diamond VIP package ($1,375) includes numerous amenities, among them one ticket in the first five rows of the front orchestra, a preshow VIP dinner at a Caesars Palace restaurant and a $150 voucher to the Celine Dion gift store. The Emerald VIP package ($555) includes, among other things, one ticket in the rear orchestra and a $100 voucher. The Ruby VIP package ($385) includes, among other amenities, one ticket in the rear mezzanine and a $50 voucher.
No word yet as to whether fans get to meet Celine backstage for champagne!

The creation of the cake will air on TLC’s Fabulous Cakes in June and is a spin-off of Cake Boss.
*The new La Vogue Bridal and Bachelorette Boutique at the Paris is not for the blushing bride. The store, opening today, is aimed at sexy brides-to-be, ladies celebrating girls’ night out and the hidden bachelorette within every woman. The boutique features two sections -- a bridal boudoir and a bold bachelorette boutique -- and items include corsets, panties, garter belts, hosiery, rhinestone camisoles, tiaras, novelty veils, hair accessories, wedding handbags, bridal jewelry, pajama party lingerie, baby dolls, feather boas, masks and edible body paints and kits. It’s quite a sensual selection, I’m told!
*It’s another trendsetting move by The N9NE Group. To compete with pool clubs on Sundays, Nove Italiano is mixing dining, nightlife and lifestyles into a day club called High Society to premiere April 11 at 1 p.m. every Sunday right through evening. The buffet brunch is $30, and entertainment includes resident DJs Zen Freeman and Mark Stylz.
*Mint 400 off-road racers paraded along downtown Fremont Street for their tech inspections before the SNORE/General Tire Mint 400 at Moapa Reservation. Glenn Pinkerton of Las Vegas News Bureau snapped these shots of Harry Curtin (#1633), Louis Chamberland (#6001) and Bobby Baldwin (#96).
