It’s down to the Fabulous Five on Dancing With the Stars

Surprise, surprise! The eliminated celebrity wasn’t who we all thought would be sent home, and it was a double whammy for the one who was sent packing tonight.
SPOILER ALERT: Please do not read any further if you want to watch the West Coast tape-delayed broadcast of Dancing With the Stars without anything revealed. Consider this my one and only friendly warning! But come back after the show to see if you agree with my observations.
As expected, Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough were declared safe, but Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy wound up on the chopping block as the first couple set to face elimination. And Niecy Nash, who was expected to be eliminated with Louis Van Amstel, was declared safe.
In the first troubling surprise for Pamela Anderson, with partner Damian Whitewood, she revealed that she’d been injured last night and was unable to dance the reprise of last night’s Lady Gaga and Beyonce “Telephone” number. ABC producers brought in Chelsie Hightower to substitute for her.
Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya were naturally declared safe, so the battle right up at the top between Nicole and him should go right to the last show May 24.
Chad Ochocinco and birthday girl Cheryl Burke were declared safe in the closing seconds of the show. TV viewers trod on Pamela’s fans and in the second disappointment of the night for her, Damian and she were eliminated in the face-off with Erin and Maks.
We’ll be back tomorrow with the results-show photographs.
