Superstar entertainer Cher will commemorate her 2nd anniversary of Caesars Palace shows at The Colosseum tomorrow in a quiet, almost reclusive manner. Her cast, crew and dancers will celebrate with an after-show party on the patio of Rao’s overlooking the gorgeous Garden of the Gods pool complex.
But Cher has decided that she wants the spotlight on them and not her for the second-year accomplishments. However, to mark the two years of over-the-top costumes, choreography and chart hits, tickets go on sale tomorrow for 25 performances from Sept. 4 through Oct. 31.
Additionally, during the remainder of this month, a new cocktail designed for and inspired by Cher is on sale throughout the property. Titled Take Me Home after her 1979 gold album, the drink is blended with Belvedere Orange, watermelon juice, triple sec, simple syrup and of course a splash of Veuve Clicquot champagne topped with a lemon wedge.
Cheers! And congratulations to Cher and her entire team for the extraordinary successful 24-month run -- with another year to go on the contract. Cher says she’s had so much fun being back onstage that she’s now promised to go out on the road for another farewell world tour.
Her new movie Burlesque, with Christina Aguilera and Julianne Hough, is due out in Thanksgiving, and she’s recording an album for release next year.
