Eva Longoria Parker’s Beso and Eve at center of financial dispute

Rumors of an FBI raid at Eva Longoria Parker’s nightclub Eve in Crystals at MGM’s CityCenter swept Las Vegas late yesterday, along with other rumors that it was a DEA seizure. All turned out to be wildly untrue.
It was midnight by the time Vegas DeLuxe got to the bottom of what really happened, and it turned out to be a financial dispute between Eva’s watchdog accountants and two operating partners of the restaurant Beso and Eve.
Vegas DeLuxe has learned that the partners have been ousted and barred from the property, and regular managers are still there running the successful venture.
One of my sources explained early this morning: “The biggest misconception in all of this was it was a raid. Eva wants everybody to know there was no raid of any kind. It was simply one of Eva’s lawyers in the company of a private security group.”
I’m told from other sources that despite the restaurant and nightclub being extremely successful, Eva and her accountants discovered serious discrepancies in the financial figures. It triggered an investigation and this week’s action that led to the two operating partners to exit.
Beso and Eve have been a major CityCenter success story since its glamorous New Year’s Eve opening. The restaurant and nightclub has played host to numerous Hollywood stars, including last weekend’s huge Sean “P. Diddy” Combs party that included Paris and Nicky Hilton as guests. Tomorrow, Kris Jenner, the mother of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian and stepmother of Brody Jenner, has been invited by Eva to host the Mother’s Day weekend celebration.
“Business was never interrupted, and it didn’t even close for one minute,” another source told me. “This has been blown out of proportion. It has been totally sensationalized.”
Lawyers for Eva are expected to release an official statement today.
Updated @5:08 p.m.: Here is an official statement: “The activities at Beso and Eve on Wednesday simply relate to resolving a disagreement between the partners. A thorough investigation has been conducted in coordination with CityCenter, and immediate action has taken place to rectify the situation to the satisfaction of all parties involved. Both Beso and Eve are open for business as usual.”
