Wherever the 51 beautiful Miss USA Pageant contestants go in Las Vegas, NBC cameras are trailing them every step of the way. Yesterday it was The Price Is Right live show at Bally’s and visits to Sugar Factory in Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile Shops and The Cupcakery in the Monte Carlo. (Miss USA 2009 Kristen Dalton also stopped by Sugar Factory, as we reported this morning.)
The highlight, though, was a guided tour of the artwork and sculptures at MGM’s CityCenter, which will be featured on the May 16 live pageant telecast from the Theater for Performing Arts in Planet Hollywood with pageant owner Donald Trump. The busy ladies also participated in a Project Sunshine event yesterday.
The glamour girls continue through Monday with their sightseeing, official photography and TV filming schedule:
FRIDAY, MAY 7
*Rock the Runway fashion show in the Great Hall of Fashion Show mall. The public is invited to Fashion Show to see the contestants walk in a runway show featuring apparel by Forever 21 and shoes by Nina Footwear, the official footwear sponsor of Miss USA. Kristen will make a guest appearance.
*For dinner, it’s Bucca di Beppo on East Flamingo.
SATURDAY, MAY 8
*The Best Buddies charity event takes place in the Planet Hollywood Celebrity Ballrooms when Kristen and the contestants welcome Best Buddies with a breakfast, graffiti paint contest and other game challenges.
*Kristen and the contestants later head over to the Flamingo tropical oasis pool for an official meet-and-greet with Harrah’s corporate VIP customers and guests.
SUNDAY, MAY 9
*Iron Chef winner Kerry Simon will be joined by Palms owner George Maloof as he hosts the 51 girls at his weekly pajama brunch at his restaurant Simon in Palms Place.
*It’s front-row seats for Barry Manilow’s concert at the Paris, followed by a meeting with the superstar entertainer himself.
MONDAY, MAY 10
*The final social event for the Miss USA hopefuls is a pool party and visit to Fremont Street Experience and the shark tank at Golden Nugget.
Then in the five days leading up to the live telecast, they have grueling interviews with the judges, plus rehearsals for the big show.
