For the fourth consecutive summer season, the successful Ditch Friday party at the Palms Pool & Bungalows resumes at noon today, and then at 3 p.m., rapper Sean Paul makes it all official with a live performance.

Palms owner George Maloof and N9NE Group head honcho Michael Morton will be on hand for the hotbed of summer month truancy. Ditch Friday was created as a way to start the weekend early, but numerous folks have skipped work altogether to unwind and hang out poolside -- but continuing their phone calls and texting.

Ditch Friday sprawls out over three acres of an opulent outdoor playground with three pools, a climate-controlled gaming area, four bars and two waterfalls set amid lush landscaping -- and luxurious cabanas on two levels.

George tells me that there’ll be world-renowned DJs and concerts all summer long.
