She’s been named one of the sexiest women in the world and dubbed “the return of the great American supermodel.” Body beautiful Marisa Miller, a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover model and Victoria’s Secret angel, wowed the bikini-clad crowd at Wet Republic in MGM Grand on Saturday, and our contributing photographer Erik Kabik was on duty to capture this extraordinary set of photographs.
Marisa stood tall on 5-inch heels in her tiny White Religion shorts and flowing mauve halter-top. She said: “This is obviously the place to be. There’s so much excitement here, and since everybody’s here to have a good time, so am I.”
My spywitness reported: “Jaws literally dropped when she strode in. She was completely at ease despite the fact that hundreds of cameras were pointed at her. She confessed to being a shy girl and is always surprised and flattered when everybody tells her she’s beautiful. She blew kisses to the photographers and waved to thousands of excited fans. “
Marisa’s music producer husband Griffin Guess was on hand to ensure she wasn’t whisked off by a rival. Marisa will be seen in the upcoming Harley Davidson campaign and her work for the Young Survivors Coalition, an organization that helps women ages 40 and younger fight breast cancer.
Mario Lopez at Wet Republic.
*Extra host and actor Mario Lopez has been chosen to serve as host of Cosmopolitan’s 3rd Annual Bikini Bash, the largest photo shoot and pool party in North America. Hundreds of women in bikinis will gather at Planet Hollywood to spell out C-O-S-M-O for an aerial photograph to be featured in the August issue. Performers Bruce Wayne and Dirty Swift, who make up Midi Mafia, will entertain during the five-hour shoot. The first 1,000 girls to arrive May 24 receive free limited-edition bikinis from Nivea designed by Shay Todd.
Phil Ivey.
*Seven-time World Series of Poker champion Phil Ivey is being honored by Aria in MGM’s CityCenter with his own poker room. The exclusive one-table, high-limit room will be revealed to guests May 22, and The Ivey Room will offer poker players the opportunity to play some of the world’s highest-limit games. To commemorate the grand opening, Aria will host a $1 million VIP Poker Tournament for its customers on opening day.
Marley Taylor, Vince Neil and Lia Neil unveil the Vince Neil Aviation fleet at Henderson Airport.
*Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil hosted his 14th Annual Skylar Neil Memorial Golf Tournament in Simi Valley, Calif., over the weekend. It’s a fundraiser in the name of his daughter who died in 1995 from stomach cancer when she was just 4 years old. Our hometown hero rocker had a full turnout of Hawaiian Tropic beauties, Hooters servers, porn stars and strip club entertainers to act as caddies.
*Gregory Popovich, star of Comedy Pets Theater, has undergone emergency stomach surgery, and producers at V Theater in Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile say his animal show will be canceled through at least May 27. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more and wish Greg a speedy recovery.
