Photos: Human Nature receives a frosty reception at Minus 5 Lounge

Brrrrrrr! Winter has never been this cold Down Under! Our four Australian friends who make up Human Nature didn’t want to celebrate their first anniversary at Imperial Palace or their two-year contract renewal in the newly named Human Nature Theater with a Foster’s. Instead, they wanted something extra special to shout, “Cheers, mate.”

So brothers Michael and Andrew Tierney, Phil Burton and Toby Allen turned to the friendly folks at Minus 5 Lounge in Mandalay Place. The mixologists came up with their very own Inhumane Nature cocktail yesterday, and the four lads turned up not only to launch it, but also drink it.

Human Nature, donning fur coats and other winter accessories, went inside the unique icy-cold lounge with its ice glasses, ice seats and ice sculptures -- all a far cry from the sun-blazed Bondi Beach in Australia, and our contributing photographer Scott Harrison managed to keep his lens from freezing over just long enough for these fun Friday photos.

Congratulations, guys, on your first anniversary, the two-year contract and the renamed theater, and our interview with them and their producer Motown legend Smokey Robinson about their future plans during the next two years on The Strip will be posted next week.
