Will there be two Las Vegas dancers in the final three on DWTS?

Two sets of dances await the Final Four couples on tonight’s Dancing With the Stars. After 11 dances, including one swing marathon and one team dance, the semifinals are here after eight weeks of the top-rated ABC show.
Tonight, frontrunners Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger and our former Las Vegas hometown hero Derek Hough dance a cha cha and an Argentine tango, with Olympic figure skating champion Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya nipping right at their high heels with a paso doble and a foxtrot.
ESPN host Erin Andrews and our Le Reve choreographer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who are ranked third, will perform a Viennese waltz and a paso doble. Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke, who face possible elimination on tomorrow’s results show, tackle a samba and a waltz.
The bigger shock might come tomorrow, though, when Miley Cyrus performs the TV debut of her new single “Can’t Be Tamed.” That’s an appropriate title for the 16-year-old who has been the center of a controversy the past week since risque photos and a bump-and-grind video of her lap dance with 44-year-old Oscars producer Adam Shankman turned up on the Internet. The filmmaker, who is gay, has defended the scandalous shots, saying they are simply the best of friends and that Miley is his soul sister.
Singer Sarah McLachlan also will perform two songs on tomorrow night’s final elimination show.
It’s still my bet that the finals will come down to a battle between beauty Nicole and Olympic golden boy Evan and that Erin will be the second runner-up. She has no worries, though, about her future TV career because she’s already been signed on as the correspondent again for the National Spelling Bee broadcasting simultaneously on ESPN and ABC on June 4.
We’ll have our spoiler-alert story posted with tonight’s voting shortly after the live West Coast satellite transmission to the East Coast has ended. During the broadcast, we’ll use Twitter for real-time reports but without giving away any of the judges’ scores. We’ll be back tomorrow with the full dance-floor action photos.
