Hotel tycoon Steve Wynn puts the finishing and crowning touch to his Wynn and Encore property today with the 72-hour, nonstop grand openings of Encore Beach Club and Surrender nightclub. It’s a $68 million bet on the lavish, luxurious and over-the-top-decadent addition to The Strip.

Festivities kick off tonight with DJ Steve Aoki, Surrender’s musical director, and continue tomorrow with a performance by hometown hero and Grammy Award-winning superstar Ne-Yo. Then Sunday marks the afternoon debut of DJ Kaskade at EBC and an evening performance at Surrender by LMFAO. DJs Pacerock and Mighty Mi also are on duty at the beach club.

Tourists and locals are able to peek inside the newest attraction as Steve changed over the porte-cochere to redesign it for the beach club. Steve wanted the day and night party venue to beat the party atmosphere found in European hotspots. The sprawling 60,000-square-foot venue features a lush oasis with three tiered pools; daybeds featuring private safes; 26 cabanas with refrigerators and flat-screen TVs; a restaurant that was formerly Switch; and blackjack and craps tables in and alongside the water.

Eight bungalows span across two stories offering views of The Strip with hot tubs, showers, lavish furnishings and a temperature-controlled cooling and heating system set to guests’ preferences. As day turns into night, the party moves into Surrender, a chic, upscale and sensual 5,000-square-foot nightclub that opens up to the surrounding outdoor oasis.

Last night, EBC and Surrender hosted a soft opening for friends and family, and World Series of Poker champion Phil Hellmuth and nightclub moguls Victor Drai and Cy Waits were spotted in the crowd. Our spywitness said: “Encore Beach Club and Surrender are beautiful, lavish and upscale. The cocktails servers, in their shiny silver mini dresses, are stunning and friendly, and there is plenty of eye candy for the ladies, too. It’s South Beach meets St. Tropez on The Strip.”

Next week the beach club and nightclub start their three-night-a-week local and industry parties. Every Wednesday, it will be Surrender Your Wednesdays, every Thursday the daylife will seamlessly transition into an outdoor evening swim party dubbed EBC by Night, and then starting June 7 and every Monday thereafter.

By opening on the biggest early summer vacation weekend, Steve is guaranteed huge crowds, and EBC and Surrender managing partner Sean Christie, who runs Blush and Society Cafe, promises: “It won’t just be one of the premiere parties of the summer, but one of the biggest parties Las Vegas has ever seen.”
