Photos and videos: Diddy and will.i.am lead Labor Day pool parties

Yesterday’s excessive heat warning in Las Vegas got even hotter when music mogul Sean “P.Diddy” Combs played party king at the Labor Day Weekend celebration at MGM Grand’s Wet Republic. Thousands of bikini- and swim-trunk-clad partygoers awaited Diddy’s arrival as he tweeted to the Twitter-verse, “Walkin’ in Wet Republic!! Rt now!!! Let’s go Vegas! Ciroc for everyone!”

Diddy arrived at Wet Republic wearing his whites, clad in a cream and navy-striped polo and bright white shorts. The crowd went wild, and Diddy said on the blue carpet, “Whenever we come out here, it’s just such a great vibe with the pool and the music and the people. [It’s] Labor Day Weekend; everybody’s out in Vegas trying to have a good time and let loose. Ciroc is in the building, and you know there ain’t no better host for a party than myself. When me and MGM get together, we do it big, so we are going to have a celebration.”

Diddy walked to his VIP bungalow with his entourage, posed for photographers and grabbed the mic and said, “Want to take a picture with me? Everyone: Put your hands in the air!” (Put your hands up in the air, put your hands up in the air …) Diddy, with his Ciroc in hand, continued to emcee the daytime revelry, and DJs Funkagenda, Cedric Gervais and Serge Devant kept the partygoers dancing poolside.

Diddy threw Ciroc towels into the crowd and invited a few ladies to share his private pool area. Throughout the afternoon, Diddy lounged in his bungalow, snacked on Kobe sliders and watching the Texas vs. Rice game (the Longhorns won). Returning to the heat, he danced with his entourage and fans.

WILL.I.AM AT MOOREA BEACH CLUB

The Black Eyed Peas co-founder and frontman will.i.am performed a DJ set at Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay for fans and guests last night, and BEP’s apl.de.ap and manager Polo Molino joined him, with apl.de.ap performing “Rock Your Body” with will.i.am onstage. Arriving in a white jacket with matching sunglasses, jeans and black high-tops, will.i.am beelined to the Living Room, the VIP section overlooking the venue, and waved to fans.

He descended into the crowd and walked over to the specially constructed DJ booth, where he played BEP favorites, of course; “OMG,” his No. 1 collaboration with Usher; and hits and mash-ups for the next few hours. The crowd went wild during “Rock Your Body.”
