So many parties Labor Day Weekend 2010 in Las Vegas, so little time. Here’s the breakdown:
Friday, Sept. 3
Ozomatli got the holiday weekend started poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel on Friday night, while over at The Pearl in the Palms, David Gray and Ray LaMontagne crooned for the crowd. Lovebirds LeAnn Rimes, a Las Vegas regular and in town to celebrate her 28th birthday, and Eddie Cibrian were part of the audience for Gray and LaMontagne. Over at Lavo in the Palazzo, Lauren “Lo” Bosworth celebrated the launch of her lifestyle (fashion, relationships, the good life, etc.) Web site The LoDown.com.
Saturday, Sept. 4
The self-professed party king and Wet Republic regular Sean “P.Diddy” Combs hosted the poolside festivities at Wet Republic at MGM Grand amid an excessive heat warning in Las Vegas (and, no, it wasn’t just from Diddy’s presence), while Kourtney Kardashian, minus sibs Kim and Khloe and mom Kris Jenner, showcased her swimwear line Kardashians for Beach Bunny Swimwear at SKAM Saturdays at the Hard Rock Hotel.
*Twilight stars Alex Meraz, Tinsel Korey and Julia Jones kept it cool and sweet at Sugar Factory at Planet Hollywood on Saturday, with Meraz giving Taylor Lautner a run for his money on the werewolf Hotness Scale. Team Alex! The trio were joined by co-stars Doug Yazzie, Jeb Brandon and Evan Hainey for dinner at Rare 120 and hosting duties at Vanity in the Hard Rock Hotel.
LMFAO manned the DJ booth at Tao Beach for the packed pool party. The duo and their Party Rock Crew kept the crowd movin’ and shakin’ with “I’m in Las Vegas B*tch, “Get Wild” and “Shots.” LMFAO’s Redfoo celebrated his birthday while in town, and Bosworth, boyfriend Scott Hochstadt, her sister Erin and The Hills co-star Stephanie Pratt were among the daytime revelers.

Chelsea Handler had a pre-Colosseum show dinner in Tao’s private dining room. The group of 25 at one of Handler’s favorite restaurants included Chuy Bravo and Brad Wollack and enjoyed Belvedere cocktails with dinner. Chris Mintz-Plasse, Bosworth, Pratt, LMFAO and the Party Rock Crew also dined at Tao, while Pratt watched Handler’s show at Caesars Palace and then returned to Tao.
Mintz-Plasse, Superbad’s McLovin,’ got on the mic in the nightclub to introduce DJ Vice, sending the crowd into a frenzy. Nicky Hilton and David Katzenberg stopped by the nightclub to check out DJ Vice and LMFAO, as did will.i.am and apl.de.ap of The Black Eyed Peas after their performance at Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay. Will stopped by the DJ booth and then took over a dance-floor table stocked with Ciroc and Patron until 4:30 am.
Over at Lavo, Angelina Pivarnick of Jersey Shore fame partied the night before her hosting duties at Larry Flynt’s new Hustler Club. Tila Tequila of A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila served as the hostess with the mostess and was most certainly in her element kicking off the opening week festivities at Hustler Club.
LeAnn Rimes celebrated her 28th birthday -- yes, it’s been nearly 14 years since Rimes broke onto the music scene with the Patsy Cline-esque “Blue”! -- with boyfriend Eddie Cibrian at Tabu Ultra Lounge in MGM Grand. The couple hit the red carpet holding hands and smiling and was joined by a dozen of their closest friends. Cibrian reportedly gave Rimes rose gold bangles for her birthday. Rimes, who is working on a new album, was presented with a two-tier cake, the crowd sang “Happy Birthday” to the delighted singer, and DJ Skratchy kept the party going into the wee hours of the morning.

2008 Playboy Playmate of the Year Jayde Nicole hosted the party at Eva Longoria Parker’s Eve the Nightclub at MGM CityCenter’s Crystals with friends and fellow models including Amy Lynn Grover, Setorii Pond and Ksenia Kiselev. The girls partied in Eve’s VIP section, where they danced to beats by guest DJ Franzen and enjoyed Jagermeister, Red Bull and Grey Goose cocktails. We’ll assume that Nicole’s boyfriend Jesse Waits was busy working at XS in the Encore.
It wouldn’t be a weekend celebrity recap without Las Vegas’ Sweetheart and Peepshow and Holly’s World star Holly Madison, who spent the afternoon in a cabana at Encore Beach Club in Encore with her friends and co-stars Laura Croft, Angel Porrino, Josh Strickland and Nicole. The group drank Moet & Chandon Ice Imperial and Fiji Water during the packed pool party.
Tone Loc and Young MC celebrated Labor Day Weekend with performances at Studio 54 in MGM Grand. Young MC arrived at Studio 54 first in a long-sleeved No Fear shirt and snap pants and was soon joined by Tone Loc, who wore a towel around his neck and a T-shirt emblazoned with Love Me or Leave Me Alone. In between beats by DJ Gusto, Young MC performed “Bust a Move” and “Fastest Rhyme,” and Tone Loc pleased and teased the crowd with “Funky Cold Medina” and “Wild Thing.”

Talk about one jam-packed Saturday!
Sunday, Sept. 5
LDW2010 in Las Vegas continued into Sunday. Carmen Electra and fiance Rob Patterson of Korn fame (yes, I almost always instinctively want to type Robert Pattinson) hosted the daytime fun at Moorea Beach Club, where Patterson inexplicably wore a black T-shirt and black jeans!
BEP’s will.i.am continued his Moorea Beach Club set Saturday night at Wet Republic on Sunday with Omarion and fellow BEP member apl.de.ap. The trio walked the blue carpet to the beats of DJs Tony Arzadon and Nathan Scott. When asked about his favorite DJs, Wet Republic regulars Chuckie, AfroJack, Laidback Luke and Fedde Le Grande topped will.i.am’s list.
Joined by an entourage of 20 in his VIP bungalow, will.i.am made his way to the DJ booth, where he shouted, “What’s up, Vegas?! My name is will.i.am, and I’m going to rock Wet Republic today!” and then kicked off his set with BEP favorites “Meet Me Half Way” and “Rock That Body.” His play list also included Usher’s “OMG” and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” before producer and DJ Sharam took over. Tiffany Hines of The CW’s Nikita was among the daytime partygoers.
Twilight’s Korey partied with friends at Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel. In the evening, Lil Jon held court with hosting duties at Vanity and played DJ for the crowd. Among the partygoers: Mintz-Plasse; Hilton, Katzenberg and his twin sister Laura Kivowitz; comedian DeRay Davis; boxer Zab Judah; E!’s Sal Masekela; adult film industry director Jules Jordan; and Shayne Lamas.
BEP’s apl.de.ap continued his Labor Day weekend celebration at XS and welcomed partygoers, among them Madison and Porrino, with good friend R&B singer/songwriter Omarion. Singer Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child fame closed out Labor Day weekend at Surrender in the Encore with a performance underneath the stars that included “Commander,” “When Love Takes Over” and “Like This.” Encore Beach Club’s resident DJ Kaskade, who performed his final set of the season that day, watched Rowland’s performance, and the pair chatted and posed for photographs after the set, with Rowland departing about 3 a.m.
After dining at Pearl at MGM Grand, singer Taylor Dayne was the main attraction at Studio 54, posing for photographs and mingling with fans on the red carpet before entering the nightclub and performing “Beautiful,” “Tell It to My Heart,” her recent release “Facing a Miracle” and “Love Will Lead You Back.” Singer Keri Hilson performed “Turning Me On,” “Knock You Down” and “The Way I Are” at Blush in the Wynn and then hung out in the VIP area enjoying Veuve Clicquot, Patron and Grey Goose cocktails with her entourage until 3 a.m.
Rapper Busta Rhymes performed at Haze in MGM CityCenter’s Aria, and Teresa Giudice of The Real Housewives of New Jersey hosted at The Beatles’ Revolution Lounge at The Mirage. DJ Erick Morillo rounded out the holiday weekend at TAO, spinning reportedly until 9 a.m. Labor Day Monday(!). Among the evening and morning’s 4,200 revelers: Stacy Keibler, Mintz-Plasse, will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Kaskade and Sharam.
On a final note, congratulations to Jerry Lewis and the Muscular Dystrophy Association, whose annual telethon wrapped yesterday after nearly 22 hours and raised $58,919,838 at South Point.
A big thank you to contributing photographers Erik Kabik, Tom Donoghue, Scott Harrison and Al Powers and videographers Richard Corey and Christopher Rauschnot @24kMedia on Twitter for their work over the busy holiday weekend.
