Criss Angel tackles levitation and vanishing in tonight’s Mindfreak finale

Magician of the Century Criss Angel plans to make magic history tonight on the final episode of Season 6 of his A&E hit series Mindfreak. The illusionist will attempt the highest levitation in the art, plus simultaneously perform a vanish twist ending. With a chaotic schedule of his 10 performances each week in Cirque du Soleil’s Believe at the Luxor, moving into his new mansion Serenity here and taping the TV series, Criss decided to escape.

Criss fled to the Valley of Fire deep in the Mojave Desert and found a very remote spot. “It was a mystical place,” he told me. “I wanted to perform a vanishing that we do in Believe every night, but the difference here was that I would see first how high I could levitate -- and then perform it. It’ll be a miracle when I attempt to go more than 100 feet up into the sky and then vanish instantly.”

His UFC pal Randy Couture is a guest star on tonight’s show, plus his amazing artist friend Vladimir Hush, who created several of the massive paintings in Criss’s new home that Vegas DeLuxe featured exclusively in July.

“We’ll also show some of our Season 6 bloopers so that viewers can see just what goes wrong before it goes right,” he added. After his two Believe shows tonight, Criss will host the Mindfreak wrap party at Liquidity Lounge in Luxor, and fans -- his Loyals -- are invited to join the celebration.
