Photos: ‘Grand Canyon vistas are the ones I’ll remember forever’

Contributing photographer Tom Donoghue just can’t seem to keep his feet on the ground these days. His aerial adventures aloft our neighboring desert are a new and nonstop endeavor.

Vegas DeLuxe on Sept. 1 posted his extraordinary photo gallery from the Skywalk at Eagle Point at the Grand Canyon. This week, he flew down from the Executive Air Terminal in Henderson on a Maverick flight to the Grand Canyon Airport.

Then he hopped onto a Maverick helicopter and flew around the South Rim of the Grand Canyon this time. “There’s a huge difference between the north side that’s closest to Las Vegas and the South Rim,” Tom said.

“It’s all truly breathtaking, and as somebody who has shot hundreds of spectacular sunsets and sensational sunrises, I can tell you that the Grand Canyon vistas are the ones I’ll remember forever.”

The trips are all part of package attractions that Maverick offers to tourists and locals alike.
