If the attendees include Mindfreak magician and Believe star Criss Angel, Peepshow and Holly’s World starlets Holly Madison and Angel Porrino, Motley Crue singer Vince Neil and Playboy Playmate Laura Croft, it can only be a birthday party in Las Vegas.

Mr. Vegas DeLuxe Robin Leach and hairstylist to the stars Michael Boychuck celebrated their birthdays at Blush in the Wynn last night, and their friends toasted the occasion with champagne and cocktails in two center VIP areas in the ultra lounge. The celebration began at Society Cafe in the Encore, where Leach and his friends were presented with an oversized chocolate birthday cake. The group then moved over to Blush and a VIP area with Veuve Clicquot and Belvedere Vodka.

Celebrity friends including Madison, Porrino, Croft, Neil and Angel joined Leach and Boychuck at the soiree, and Angel and Neil got on a microphone to wish Leach and Boychuck a Happy Birthday. The birthday boys were presented with cakes after midnight. WWE CEO Vince McMahon was in a VIP area with four friends enjoying Silver Oak wine.

One of the night’s highlights: Norm Clarke, Leach’s celebrity journalist colleague here, exclaimed “Tiger Woods!” when reintroduced to my brother, who does bear a resemblance to the golfer, except that my brother is neither part black nor a millionaire! Clarke mentioned to Leach the Montana background he and I share (Clarke worked in Helena early in his career; I grew up there from ages 2 to 18).

One of the evening’s lowlights: A group of four rude women, who were clearly not invited to the party but pushed guests out of the way to get to the champagne and cocktails, asked one another, stupidly, “Whose party is this anyway?” Bottle rats, randoms and bottle -- well, a term I use that rhymes with bores. Saying hello to Clarke, Boychuck, Vegas Editor Leslie Frisbee and makeup maven Rain Andreani and her husband Alfredo Andreani -- and celebrating the birthdays, the point of the evening -- made up for the rats.
