Six days of mouth-watering Italian and international food await visitors at the 31st Annual San Gennaro Feast today through Sunday at Silverton Casino Lodge. Hometown hero Tony Sacca is producing hourly performances on the main stage by entertainers including Lena Prima, Dick Contino, himself and many others.

The cuisine at San Gennaro includes pizza, pasta, zeppole, cannoli, jumbo turkey legs, sausages and peppers, and there are games and amusement park rides for kids. During the festival featuring more than 100 vendor booths, guests can play their favorite casino games in the Silverton and win a trip to Italy.

Tony and his fellow Embassy Theater entertainers at the downtown Las Vegas Rocks Cafe take a week off from that schedule for San Gennaro. In their place, The Platters featuring the legendary Monroe Powell headlines there. Monroe has a more than 40-year history with legendary groups such as The Dominos in the 1950s, The Ink Spots in the 1960s and The Platters when he was hired as lead singer in 1970.

Tickets for the twice-yearly San Gennaro Feast are $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and free for children less than 4-foot-6, and discounts and coupons are available at SanGennaroFeast.com. An Italian procession is scheduled for 7 p.m. tomorrow, and hours are 4 to 11 p.m. today through Thursday; 4 p.m. to midnight Friday; 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday.
