Latin superstar singer Luis Miguel kicked off Mexican Independence Day celebrations in Las Vegas yesterday with a sold-out concert at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace, and contributing photographer Erik Kabik was on duty for the performance. Miguel, who has won five Grammy Awards and four Latin Grammy Awards, returns for two more shows tomorrow and Saturday nights.
Vegas DeLuxe’s coverage of Mexican Independence Day celebrations also includes the fiesta at Tacos & Tequila in the Luxor last night, and we’ll have a photo gallery tomorrow right here at Vegas DeLuxe from the soiree that included Lorena Peril and her Luxor headliner Fantasy Girls, Luxor headliner comedian Carrot Top and Mr. Vegas DeLuxe Robin Leach.
THE CULT AT THE PEARL
Meantime, British rockers The Cult with The Black Ryder rock The Pearl at the Palms tonight. The music legends, with frontman Ian Astbury, formed in 1983, split in 1995 and reunited four years later.
The band’s Love Live Tour is continuing this year, with a stop at The Pearl, and The Cult’s most recent single “Everyman and Woman Is a Star” was released Aug. 1.
Robin Leach has been a journalist for more than 50 years and has spent the past decade giving readers the inside scoop on Las Vegas, the world’s premier platinum playground.
