Magician of the century Siegfried Fischbacher, one half of the legendary magicians and entertainers Siegfried & Roy, tapped the keg at Hofbrauhaus yesterday for the eighth year to kick off six weeks of Oktoberfest celebrations.

Contributing photographer Scott Harrison was on duty when Fischbacher, without Roy, raised his beer stein to the crowd in celebration. Hofbrauhaus, across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel at Paradise and Harmon, offers patrons an opportunity to party like Munich, Germany, with beer, Jagermeister, sausages and sauerkraut.

Hofbrauhaus was so jam-packed for Las Vegas resident and philanthropist Fischbacher’s keg tapping yesterday for Oktoberfest that people were reportedly turned away at the door.
