Vegas DeLuxe was the first to report the launch of a Las Vegas team for the expanded Lingerie Football League, and we’ll get to meet the team and its cheerleading squad for the first time in February at what will be the worlds largest Super Bowl party. It’s now definite that the 2011 Lingerie Bowl will be held here and broadcast Feb. 6 from the Thomas & Mack Arena to millions of viewers in more than 85 countries.

The 7-on-7, full-contact tackle game will feature some of America’s most attractive and athletic models. Former Fantasy star Angelica Bridges, who this weekend sings the national anthem at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, has already been named one of the Las Vegas team members.

LFL now has 10 franchises including expansion markets, and next year, more will be added, including our Las Vegas team. The Super Bowl weekend festivities here include the Big Game on Super Bowl Sunday, this year in Dallas, plus jammed-packed celebrity and media events, including a black tie-gala and kickoff party, a celebrity golf tournament, a FanFest and Lingerie Bowl. Partying starts at noon in the Tailgate Village in the arena.

Playboy Playmate Kelly Carrington gets a makeover from Michael Boychuck.

*Colorist of the Decade Michael Boychuck of Amp at the Palms and Color at Caesars Palace met with singer Gwen Stefani when he was honored in New York by L’Oreal. Gwen’s LAMB fashion models used the new non-ammonia color treatment INOA, and Michael’s makeover of Playmate beauty Kelly Carrington in the new Modern Salon using INOA won him raves at Spring Fashion Week. Michael led the country’s most talented stylists and colorists flown in by L’Oreal and was feted by Maggie Mulhern, Modern Salon beauty and fashion director, and Alejandro Lopez Nunez, general manager of L’Oreal Professional USA.

Defending The Caveman's 1,500th Show

*Congratulations to comedian actor Kevin Burke and show producer John Bentham, who celebrated the 1,500th performance of their Defending the Caveman at Excalibur last night. Congratulations to CSI: The Experience on its first anniversary party tonight at MGM Grand.

Mrs. Nevada 2011

*Congratulations to Deborah Ashton, who has been crowned Mrs. Nevada 2011. She’ll now compete in the Mrs. United States Pageant here in Las Vegas next July. Deborah has run her Las Vegas-based promotions and events management company specializing in promotions and conventions for two decades.

*The entertainment lineup in The Lounge at the Palms has changed, and two of the three nights are now free. Musician Franky Perez, who is an honorary member of the all-star super group Camp Freddy, plays rock covers every Sunday night, and comedian Todd Rexx beats the mid-week blues with his coterie of comedy acts. Monday night appearances of the funky jazz group Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns cost $7.

*We started our Halloween watch yesterday, and now I’ve learned that KISS rebel Gene Simmons is close to inking a contract to appear at a Strip nightclub for Halloween and record the entire experience for his reality TV show Family Jewels. Circus Circus turns over its entire 13th floor Oct. 1 for a haunting orchestrated by hauntrepreneur Jason Egan. Guests will board a haunted elevator that transports them to the 13th floor, which has been transformed with creepy hotel furniture that comes to life and a seance to contact former guests. Guests receive a 13-minute tour through 13 rooms in an interactive experience as part of a wedding party that becomes a corpse’s funeral.

Wolfgang Puck at Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health

*World Alzheimer’s Day was yesterday and marked downtown at Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health with the great news that its annual Keep Memory Alive gala was just ranked No. 2 in a nationwide grading of philanthropic fundraising events by the Vivanista Community for philanthropic living and giving. KMA’s Power of Love gala with entertainer Barry Manilow placed just behind the Robin Hood benefit in New York City.

Since opening its doors just a year ago, there have been nearly 3,500 visits from patients, and many are participating in clinical trials for a cure led by award-winning Alzheimer’s Disease researcher Dr. Jeff Cummings. News of star chef Wolfgang Puck’s contribution to the clinic for World Alzheimer’s Day was posted yesterday.
