Goodbye, 24-hour Red Cup Cafe, hello, Hash House a Go Go. The M Resort is rolling out the welcome mat for its newest restaurant with a private grand opening party Oct. 6 for Hash House a Go Go, the comfort food restaurant known for its ginormous portions. The M Resort location joins outlets on Sahara Avenue, which just celebrated its fifth anniversary, and at Imperial Palace.

Hash House a Go Go isn’t likely to be 24 hours like its predecessor, and considering the popularity of its Sahara location (the wait extends into hours on weekends), it’s will thrive in its new home. Hash House is just up the way from Studio B Buffet, which remains as popular as ever with patrons.

*Dos Caminos chefs Scott Linquist and Roberto Hernandez at the Palazzo gave a cooking demonstration of five dishes and cocktail concoctions for Mexican food aficionados. Attendees received a signed copy of Scott’s cookbook Mod Mex, which includes recipes for pork tamales in salsa verde, chiles en Nogada and bunuelos, puffy Mexican doughnuts with spiced honey that he taught the class to make.

*Lagasse’s Stadium at the Palazzo is hosting a viewing party for UFC 119 tomorrow from 7 to 10 p.m. The main event features Frank Mir vs. Mirko Filipovic. Other fights: Pat Audinwood vs. Thiago Tavares, Matt Serra vs. Chris Lytle, Sean Sherk vs. Evan Dunham, Melvin Guillard vs. Jeremy Stephens and the UFC debut of Mark Hunt, who has defeated Filipovic and Wanderlei Silva.

Nove Italiano's High Society Tweetup

*Hundreds of tweeters turned up for the first Tweetup at High Society in Nove Italiano at the Palms. Guests were served by High Society dancers dressed in sexy tutus, and chef Geno Bernardo introduced models wearing the latest Betsey Johnson fashions from her Miracle Mile boutique. DJ Exodus spun Latin-infused beats, and High Society dancers entertained with their sexy moves. High Society starts at 1 p.m. on Sundays, and the dayclub menu is $30 per person. Admission is free, and reservations are recommended.

*On a final happy note for the day, Reverse Happy Hour has begun at Rare 120 in the Hard Rock Hotel on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Starting at 9 p.m., all appetizers are 50 percent off in the bar and lounge area.
