Strip Scribbles: Donny Osmond to host event 10/10/10 at 10:10 a.m.
By Robin Leach
Flamingo headliner Donny Osmond, who has been married to his wife Debbie, for more than 30 years, will officiate 10 couples on Oct. 10, 2010, at 10:10 a.m. becoming engaged at The Trevi Fountain at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. More than 200 couples entered to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime event, and 10 couples were selected and will be flown to Las Vegas by Funjet Vacations.
The couples will be treated like high rollers and receive an all-expense paid trip here Oct. 9-11; a two-night stay at Caesars Palace; a post-proposal dinner at The Palm; a post-dinner event at Pure in Caesars Palace; and wedding gifts from The Forum Shops. On the morning of Oct. 10, Donny will host the event, where he’ll be the one to queue the 10 couples in engagement. For more information, go to www.101010at1010am.com.
*Strip entertainment legend Frank Marino’s 25th anniversary celebration with cake and champagne after tonight’s Divas Las Vegas performance at Imperial Palace has been canceled due to a health emergency. The celebration is expected to be rescheduled, and Vegas DeLuxe wishes Frank a speedy and full recovery.

WICKED WHISPERS & RACY RUMORS
Back-and-forth negotiations look as if they’ll be successful for Rihanna to host and perform at a Center Strip nightclub for New Year’s in competition with Jay-Z and Coldplay at the Cosmopolitan. And a lot of buzz that ousted Wynn nightclub honcho Cy Waits (Paris Hilton’s boyfriend) has been hired to run the new nightspot Chateau opening at the Paris, but I’m reliably told that there’s absolutely no truth to it -- at least for now!
*Carlos Santana and his legendary band continue to take fans on a musical journey through 2011 with the release of eight spring concert dates for Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits. Tickets to see Las Vegas’ first and only rock residency at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel are on sale now for Jan. 5-16 and April 20-May 1.
Justin McBride arrives at his retirement party at the Silverton.
*The Venetian and Palazzo welcome bull riding champion and country singer Justin McBride as he headlines two events during the 2010 Professional Bull Riders World Finals. Justin celebrates the release of his second album Justin McBride: Live at Billy Bob’s Texas with a free album release party at Lagasse’s Stadium on Oct. 20 and a concert at The Venetian Showroom on Oct. 22. Tickets to the show went on sale yesterday.
*Minus5 Ice Bar, North America’s largest ice lounge, officially opens tonight with a party at the Monte Carlo showcasing 22 tons of ice sculptures and joining its sister location in Mandalay Bay. Studio 54 headliners Recycled Percussion stopped by Minus5 during construction, and Editor Don Chareunsy paid a visit during its soft opening.
Shawn Stockman, Wanya Morris and Nathan Morris of Boyz II Men join Joey Fatone, far right, onstage at The Price Is Right -- Live at Bally's on Sept. 21, 2010.
STAR SURVEILLANCE
Boyz II Men (Shawn Stockman, Wanya Morris and Nathan Morris) dropped in on Joey Fatone during his guest hosting duties at The Price Is Right -- Live at Bally’s. Joey called the group out to help clue in the audience to the upcoming game. They yodeled, and the gold curtain parted to reveal the fan favorite Cliffhanger. Last night, Joey hung out at Surrender in Encore with friends and posed for photographs with fans. Also there, UFC champ Chuck Liddell in a cabana with four female friends and comedian Cedric the Entertainer relaxing on a daybed outside his cabana.

CSI star Robert David Hall helped celebrate the first anniversary of CSI: The Experience at MGM Grand yesterday with a CSI: The Experience crime scene cake. Season 11 of CSI premieres tonight on CBS and features the acting debut of teen pop superstar Justin Bieber. In honor of the first anniversary, CSI: The Experience is donating $1 from every ticket sold during the celebration, Sept. 20-26, to the Nevada Victims of Crime Program, and MGM Resorts International’s Corporate Philanthropy Program is matching the donation.

The Grateful Dead founding member Phil Lesh and NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton played in a mini blackjack tournament for charity at the Hard Rock Hotel after last night’s sold-out Furthur concert at The Joint. Gorgeous model and actress Joan Severance dazzled Interbike convention enthusiasts at dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio in The Venetian. Wilderness photographer Rodney Lough hosted a showcase party of his amazing shots of nature’s grandeur and beauty at Mandarin Oriental’s SkyBar. Actor David Arquette partied at Blush in the Wynn with Beacher’s Madhouse creator Jeff Beacher at a VIP dance floor table.
TONIGHT’S TIPS
Sassy and sharp-nailed comedienne Joan Rivers has three nights at The Venetian to savage just about every celebrity possible. Dax Shepard (Punk’d, Parenthood) begins a three-night run at The Playboy Comedy Lounge at the Palms with hosts Cort McCown and Paul Hughes. The Barrett-Jackson Auction, the three-day celebration of automotive obsession, gets underway at Mandalay Bay Events Center. Chuck Liddell and Grey’s Anatomy heartthrob Patrick Dempsey are just two of the celebrities appearing at the auto event. And Super Run, the largest car show in the Southwest, is in Henderson with more than 250 trophies awarded in burn out, slow drag and roaring engines contests.
Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani on Season 11 of ABC's Dancing With the Stars on Sept. 20, 2010.
TOMORROW’S TEASES
Dancing With the Stars cameras come to town to capture every move -- including mandatory rehearsals -- that contestants Audrina Patridge and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino make. Audrina guests at Rob Dyrdek’s incredible Skateboard Championships, and The Sitch is set to host and DJ at Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel. Jennifer “JWoww” Farley is in town, too, so who knows if their paths will cross? Jay Cutler defends his Mr. Olympia title and hopes to take it home for a fourth time at The Orleans. And the NASCAR track race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway gets sex goddesses Holly Madison and Angelica Bridges on the starting line.
