From Mr. Vegas DeLuxe Robin Leach’s Twitter:

Hollywood icon Tony Curtis dies at 85. Our sincere condolences. He was an absolutely wonderful man! Tony will be sadly missed. He died last evening here at his Henderson home, and daughter Jamie Lee Curtis confirmed the news.

Known to the world as an original movie star, we knew the actor as an artist and fierce defender to prevent wild horses being slaughtered. Tony always had a cheery word for us whenever our paths crossed. He helped us at our Keep Memory Alive galas. He was a standup renaissance man.

In Memoriam: Tony Curtis

Tony had suffered from battles with illness over the past years, but he always won. A remarkable man throughout a very long life and career.

Thanks to Las Vegas News Bureau for these archival photos of Tony. An obituary written by The Associated Press was posted on LasVegasSun.com this morning.
