On an early morning in March, hard-working and always affable contributing photographer Tom Donoghue took to the Las Vegas skies aboard a Maverick Helicopter Tour chopper, and this spectacular photo gallery is the fruits of his high-flying labor.

The Strip skyline -- with Mandalay Bay, Tropicana, MGM Grand, New York-New York, Luxor, CityCenter, Rio, Mirage, Wynn, Encore, Trump Hotel, the new D Hotel, and many others in full view -- is breathtaking, and downtown’s Symphony Park, with the new Smith Center for the Performing Arts and the eye-catching, Frank Gehry-designed Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, is gorgeous.
