Ice, ice, baby. Ice, ice, baby. Ice, ice, baby. Now that the song is stuck in your head, Las Vegas regular Vanilla Ice, finger tattoos and all, hosted and performed at LAX in the Luxor. Around 1:30 a.m., DJ Dirty Chopsticks introduced Ice, who ran onstage singing his hit “Dirty South.”
After his grand entrance, Ice shouted, “What’s up, Vegas?!” and partygoers roared. He then took a moment to recognize the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” generation, as he had his doting fans shouting, “Go, Ninja, go Ninja, go!” and began rapping his all-time favorite song “Ninja Rap.”
His set also included, of course, “Ice, Ice, Baby,” “Play That Funky Music” and his new single “Turn It Up.” He cooled off revelers by spraying the crowd with water, and he invited a few ladies onstage to dance with him.
“Thank you, Las Vegas!” he said as he made his way off the stage and to his VIP booth, and he spent the rest of his night meeting, dancing and partying with fans. Also at LAX: UFC fighters Mike Pierce and Matt Brown. Thanks to Scott Berry of SixEight Studios for his photo gallery.
