The Budos Band performed at Body English in the Hard Rock Hotel on Saturday night, and contributing photographer Erik Kabik was on duty for a photo gallery of the concert.

Budos Band’s music is a mix of Afro Beat, psychedelic hard rock and big-band jazz with New York attitude -- imagine New Orleans-based Galactic playing with Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti and the Tower of Power horns section and Black Sabbath’s Geezer Butler’s fuzz bass.

The band’s third full-length studio album, since the 10-piece ensemble’s inception in 2003, was composed and arranged during weekly, beer-fueled sessions in Staten Island, and they have played festival stages and rock clubs in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
