Adam Levine, heartthrob frontman of Maroon 5 and coach on NBC’s “The Voice”, showed off his moves like Jagger and his sexy, soulful voice and self at the new 1 OAK at the Mirage on Friday night.
Levine and friends began their night at dinner at nearby Stack, and the group included Javier Colon, Levine’s protege and Season 1 winner of “The Voice.” The group made their way to 1 OAK shortly after midnight.
At 1 OAK, DJ Karma spinned the wheels of steel, while 1 OAK co-founder Richie Akiva hyped up the crowd with shout-outs on the mic. At 1:45 a.m., Levine took the stage and performed several of his hits, including “Moves Like Jagger” and “Stereo Hearts,” his collaboration with Gym Class Heroes, as fans rushed the stage to get ascloseaspossible to Mr. Sexy.
After the set, Levine returned to his VIP table -- next to Akiva, 1 OAK co-founder Scott Sartiano and Managing Partner Eli Pacino’s table -- to party before departing at 3 a.m. Friday night followed Thursday’s party presented by Beats by Dre and with DJ Laidback Luke behind the turntables. Laidback Luke performed a 3-hour set for partygoers that include Dr. Dre and music mogul Jimmy Iovine.
