Now that the 51 beautiful 2012 Miss USA Pageant contestants have left town, thank goodness we still have our own Las Vegas ambassador to add summer sizzle to the scene.
On Dec. 30, Holly Madison says au revoir to her role as Bo Peep in “Peepshow” at Planet Hollywood after a three-year-plus run as its headliner. She’s already in discussions with Hollywood producers for a new, non-reality TV series and is ready for a new life in L.A.
Inside word, though, from “Peepshow” producers who are auditioning two candidates to take over Holly’s role, is that she will be invited back as a guest star when she has open weeks in her new production schedule.
In showbiz, that calls for new portraits, and taking a cue from the Miss USA glamour shoot by Fadil Berisha at Garden of the Gods at Caesars Palace, Holly chose the Bacchus pool there for a new set of swimwear portraits. Just like the Miss USA judges who voted for 2012 Miss Rhode Island USA Olivia Culpo, Holly gets our vote, too.
Holly has told friends that she’ll talk about her run in “Peepshow” closer to her exit and wants to take some time off from the adult burlesque before starting her TV production.
“It’s enjoyable -- I've loved every minute -- but it’s still a lot of hard work every night with over 1,000 shows. I’ll need some time for myself before it starts up again,” she told one of her closest friends.
“Peepshow” will reportedly continue after Holly departs Dec. 30, and “Surf: The Musical,” a tribute to the songs of The Beach Boys, opens at the Peepshow Theater on Monday.
