Our thanks to contributing photographer Tom Donoghue, who was kept very busy at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday afternoon shooting the racecar drivers and their practice runs.

Tom kept his lens sharp and focused, and we are indebted to him for these three photo galleries of fan favorite Danica Patrick in her signature green car, Las Vegas hometown hero Brendan Gaughan (son of South Point owner Michael Gaughan) and many of the other competitors racing for glory -- and big money -- this weekend.
