New Kids on the Block member Jordan Knight went solo and kicked off his Live & Unfinished Tour at House of Blues in Mandalay Bay, and his fans, lapping up his boy-band moves (a lot of heart thumping, self-rubbing and crotch grabbing and thrusting) and looks, were hanging tough with Knight from the moment he appeared onstage to sing his EDM-inspired solo hit “Higher.”

The evening also included his biggest solo hit to date, 1999’s “Give It to You” from his self-titled solo debut; “Give It to You” hit No. 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Plus, in a unique and fun move, he sang requests from fans via Twitter(!), including Force M.D.’s “Tender Love,” and frequently interacted with his mostly female audience.

Knight was in town last Fourth of July weekend for a NKOTB and Backstreet Boys -- NKOTBSB! -- concert at Mandalay Bay Events Center. Knight isn’t the only NKOTB member to go solo successfully. Band mate Joe McIntyre has starred on Broadway and headlined in Las Vegas, as well.
