The lead singer of a band also is an actor who has found global fame as part of an ensemble cast in a blockbuster film franchise; however, what matters most to him is the band and his music, and he’ll never change or depart the group. Never! Does the story sound familiar?
Fast forward (insert number) months, and actor Jackson Rathbone (Jasper in the “Twilight” flicks) and Las Vegas- and L.A.-based 100 Monkeys have parted ways. Rathbone apparently isn’t missed by ex-bandmates Ben Johnson, Rob Coonrod, Matt Black and Ben Graupner, so little so in fact 100 Monkeys is now Pink Fuzzy Animals. Rathbone is (un)dead to them.
Enjoy the trip down memory lane with Robin Leach’s interview with 100 Monkeys when they performed at the Cosmopolitan last May (at the time, Black and Coonrod weren’t bard of the band, but Jerad Anderson and Lawrence Abrams were); also click through a photo gallery of Pink Fuzzy Animals’ first gig on the Strip at Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip last week.
Let’s hope all is warm and fuzzy -- and pink -- with the band now.
