Daughtry, with frontman and “American Idol” Season 5 alumnus Chris Daughtry, kicked off the 2012 Memorial Day Weekend early in Las Vegas by rocking The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel on Thursday night, and Erik Kabik was on duty for his photo gallery of the popular hard rock and pop band.

Unfortunately, neither I nor any of my team was at the concert -- so missed Chris in all of his gravelly voiced, intense and tattooed greatness -- but I can at least offer the setlist of one of my favorite “American Idol” discoveries over the many, many, many season on Fox.

Thursday night’s setlist: “Renegade,” “Break the Spell,” “Feels Like Tonight,” “Crawling Back to You,” “Losing My Mind,” “Out of My Head,” “Crazy,” “Start of Something Good,” “Rescue Me,” “What About Now,” “Home,” “Louder,” “Over You”/”No Surprise,” “Running Down a Dream,” “September,” “Rebel Yell” and “It’s Not Over.”

The Joint continued to rock this weekend, with Incubus and frontman Brandon Boyd there Friday and Saturday nights; check out an interview with Boyd and a report from Friday night’s concert, both by Mark Adams of Las Vegas Weekly.
