When it comes to hunting bunnies, who better to lead hounds than The Girls Next Door reality star and Playboy playmate, Holly Madison. Hef’s #1 girl visited Ditch Fridays at the Palms pool this Friday to help select the next bunny to work the Playboy Club at the Palms Fantasy tower. General manager of the Playboy Club Rico Romano explained the selection process, which involves multiple interviews spread out over the weekend. With Madison’s help, the bikini-clad hopefuls were whittled down to seven worthy girls who have several rounds of interviews in their future before receiving their Roberto Cavalli-designed bunny suit. Madison took a break from the party to talk to the Weekly and discuss her role in the big bunny hunt.

Las Vegas Weekly: In The Girls Next Door, you seem to be the voice of reason at times. Do you sometimes feel like the other girls look up to you?

Holly Madison: (Laughs.) Thanks! I think a little bit. I’m always the one that kind of knows the schedule and knows what’s going on.

What has been your favorite photo shoot to work on?

I love all the playmate shoots I work on, but my first one with Tamara Skye, she was the DJ, it’s really special since it was my first.

What did you want to be when you were younger?

When I was younger I wanted to work for Disney, which didn’t happen but I think I’m in the second best spot.

I think you landed a pretty good job. Does your family support your career choice?

Absolutely. They’re really proud of me for taking something that could have been simply one thing and turning it into another career.

It has been reported that you want to marry Hef and eventually have a baby. Do you have any plans for that?

Absolutely! Well my plot hasn’t worked so far (shakes her fist), but hopefully it will someday.

If you got married would you let him have other girlfriends?

NO!

You’ve been very open about having plastic surgery including a rhinoplasty and a breast augmentation. Was it a hard decision to have the surgeries?

No, I always knew I wanted bigger boobs. I kept waiting for them to get bigger and waiting and waiting, and then finally I realized that they had stopped, and I went for it.

On the show and as Hef’s girlfriend, you’re constantly judegd on your appearance. Your measurements are even on Wikipedia. How do you deal with the scrutiny?

Bunny Hunt at Ditch Fridays

It’s kind of crazy, because you get really busy with other things and sometimes you don’t want to think about the way you look. You gotta remember to try and work out and stuff like that. So, it’s kind of a little struggle, but I don’t take that thing too seriously.

I know you must love the Playboy Club, but where are your other favorite places to visit in Vegas?

Um, I haven’t gotten a chance really to see too much more of Vegas. I love the show Crazy Horse Paris. I love Trader Vics over at Planet Hollywood, but the [Playboy] club’s always been my favorite.

When you first started to get to know Hef and moved into the Mansion, what were your expectations; how did you feel when you first moved in?

I was really excited to try something new but I didn’t know how it would go. I didn’t know if I would get along with the other girls or what would happen.

Looks like things worked out beautifully. What is your favorite thing about living in the Mansion?

The animals and Hef. I love meeting all the new people, but I love the zoo he has too.

I know Kendra is fond of her pink guitar, but what is your favorite gift that Hef has given you?

Probably his heart, but if you talk about material things I’d have to say this watch- it’s pretty cool. (Flashing her diamond crusted Playboy bunny watch)

Do you ever find time in your busy schedules to just go out on a date with Hef?

Oh, we don’t usually go out by ourselves. We usually go out with a big group of girls. But we hang out by ourselves a lot, watch movies and things like that.

What are you looking for in a bunny candidate?

What the Palms is looking for is not only a beautiful girl, but somebody who has a TON of personality, somebody that people want to come up to and approach. Somebody who just looks like a lot of fun and really makes the club come to life.
