Privé nightclub is cleared to re-enter the Vegas nightlife scene - for 30 days anyway. On Tuesday, August 18, the County Commission, acting in its capacity as the county Liquor and Gaming Board, gave its blessing to a temporary license for Privé, but not to the 90-day temporary license proposed by department of business director Jacqueline Holloway. Privé appeals withdrawn: Privé managing partner steps down, club changes hands, starts all over
Just days before Privé’s scheduled August 18 appearance before the County Commission, representatives withdrew their appeals of the club’s liquor license denial on Thursday, August 13. “The representatives advised the Department of Business License of changes in the ownership of Privé Las Vegas, LLC,” says Clark County public information officer Dan Kulin, “and submitted applications for liquor licenses evidencing the changes in ownership, along with the appointment of a new management team, key employees and requests for temporary licenses.” In ... Due to today’s denial-of-service attack on Twitter, the group hosting tonight’s Tweasure Hunt at Tao Nightclub at the Venetian has decided to postpone the event until next Thursday. Privé nightclub’s appeal of its permanent liquor license rejection, scheduled for today, was postponed at the last possible moment this morning until 9:15 a.m., August 18.
