The hectic holiday season can’t stand in the way of the creative process. At least, not for singer/songwriter Nadia Ali, who battled seasonal travelers to get from New York to Las Vegas and the studios of Nick Terranova, aka Starkillers. Though Terranova has remixed multiple tracks for Ali and her previous project, iiO, this Tuesday marks the first day they were able to collaborate on new material in person.
Ali and Terranova stopped by the Las Vegas Weekly office Tuesday night to chat about their current projects, what they have in the works for 2010 and why you should check out Bobby Bottleservice on the ‘net. (It’ll help you figure out what jokester Terranova is alluding to in part of the interview.)
Tracks played during this podcast:
1. Nadia Ali, "Love Story (Starkillers Remix)"
2. iiO, "Rapture (Starkillers Undone Remix)"
3. Nadia Ali, "Something to Lose (Starkillers Remix)"
