Night and day: Two new pool parties for your pleasure

If baking in the sun just isn’t your bag, baby, you can still get swimmy with it at XS’s new Sunday night pool party. Just beyond XS’ twin glass doors, which slide back 45 feet most nights to allow the party to take on the night and the great outdoors, the 27,000 square-foot pool area features 95 VIP tables and 30 cabanas for bottle service.

Though the club is now closed Sundays, two outside bars will be open for your drinking pleasure, as will the outdoor blackjack tables. Sunday evenings will see XS’s sexy cocktail servers doffing their uniform bustiers in favor of bikinis and pareos while the hot ranks of XS’s VIP hosts will give up the suit for their own all-white cabana attire. Guests, too, are invited to trade in their clubwear and take full advantage of the pool sans soleil. Doors open from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., $30 for gentlemen, $20 for ladies, and all locals are complimentary.

Or, if you prefer your pool with a little more light, Daydream at the M Resort now has a “Bigger! Better! Wetter!” reason for you to skip out of work early. Partnered with Wet Grooves (those fun folks behind all the big Winter Music Conference pool parties), Daydream presents a Wet Grooves pool party every Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with special guest DJs from 3-5 p.m. and a happy hour from 4-7 p.m.

“America’s #1 Touring Pool Party” will call Vegas home this summer, bringing us locals’ favorites, DJs Inferno, Mikey Swift and Vegas Vibe for the Fourth of July weekend as well as live acts, special guest hosts, drink specials, contests and decorative themed props.

According to a press release on the Wet Grooves MySpace page, the party was originally slated for the Hooters Hotel and Casino pool; no word as to why the change. For up-to-the-minute information and to purchase tickets, visit: Wet Grooves on MySpace or Sinning in Las Vegas.
